I think it’s time to pull the curtain back and give you all some insight on how we use our very own ExecuteIt software to help run the AchieveIt business. The secret is out, AchieveIt loves filtering. We love filtering because we’re a big fan of the Monday morning team huddle where we take time to go over many of our operational statistics, discuss the previous week, and provide a rundown of the upcoming week’s events. We use ExecuteIt’s full plan view and its robust set of filters to track our 60-day strategic plan which includes all upcoming and outstanding items.

So what’s AchieveIt’s favorite filter? We love to filter the full plan view on items due in the next 7 days along with items less than 100 percent complete. Why is this important? Well, everyone in the organization knows that during the Monday morning huddle, a full plan report will be displayed, along with every upcoming item. The expectation is that everyone completes their assigned tasks on time and our software helps us drive toward that completion. The “trick” to ensuring everything comes together is consistency. We have a meeting every Monday morning and as a result we saw an extremely high execution rate for our 60-day strategic plan.

What’s the best way to create the aforementioned filtered view (due in the next 7 days and less than 100 percent complete) for your organization? Well you just need to go to ExecuteIt, hover over plan and click on Full Plan. Once you’re there look for the filer button as shown in the picture below:

Once you’re in the filter menu you can add as many options as you’d like. Act like you’re building a sentence and every filter you add is including word and. Once you define the filters you’d like within the Full Plan screen they’ll save until you delete them. To delete a filter you just need to click the little ‘x’ to the right of each filter’s name.

Well, its official, you’re on your way to be an AchieveIt power user. Experiment with a variety of filters to find the one that’s perfect for your organization. Let us know what filters you like best and we’ll compile a list and share it with everyone in a future post. Enjoy your day everyone!
